eCommerce SEO | Sales · Visibility · Revenue

An eCommerce SEO agency for more sales, more visibility, and a lower cost to win each customer.

As an eCommerce SEO agency we turn organic search into a sales channel your store can count on: products found by ready-to-buy shoppers, a lower cost to acquire each customer, and revenue that compounds month over month. The SEO runs underneath, measured on sales rather than rankings.

What we optimise

The pages that convert, not just the ones that get traffic.

Most stores pour their SEO effort into the homepage and blog while the product and category pages that actually sell go untouched. These six areas hold most of the organic revenue a store is leaving unclaimed, and they compound: a category that ranks feeds the products beneath it, and clean crawl budget is what lets either get found in the first place.

01

Product page SEO

  • Titles and descriptions written around real pre-purchase search terms
  • Manufacturer boilerplate replaced so pages read as original, not duplicate
  • Product schema for price, availability, brand and ratings
  • Variant handling that keeps ranking signals on one canonical page

02

Category & collection SEO

  • Collection pages structured to rank for broad, high-volume searches
  • Intro copy and internal links that give a category something to rank on
  • The head terms individual product pages cannot compete for alone
  • Pagination handled so deep pages stay crawlable and consolidated

03

Faceted navigation & crawl budget

  • Filter and sort parameters kept from spawning endless indexable URLs
  • Crawl budget pointed at pages that sell, away from thin duplicates
  • Server logs read to see which URLs Googlebot actually requests
  • Rules set so the catalogue stays clean as inventory grows

04

Architecture & internal linking

  • Click depth from the homepage to every product that needs to rank
  • Orphan collection pages recovered and linked back into the navigation
  • Internal links that route authority toward high-intent commercial pages
  • URL structure, redirect chains and sitemaps kept clean as the catalogue changes

05

Platform & performance

  • Shopify and WooCommerce canonical, collection and app-bloat fixes
  • Image and asset delivery tuned across the catalogue
  • Core Web Vitals on product and category templates, from CrUX field data
  • Template-level fixes that correct thousands of pages at once

06

Feeds & international

  • Product feed and Merchant Center data kept in step with the catalogue
  • hreflang for international and multi-currency stores
  • Structured data validated for shopping surface eligibility
  • Scheduled crawls with alerts when indexation regresses

Rankings are the leading indicator, revenue is the one that pays. Every change here is chosen for the organic revenue it can move, and reported against product and category sales rather than positions on a spreadsheet. Optimise the pages that convert and the traffic you already earn starts to sell.

Why we're different

The eCommerce SEO agency that ships the fix, not just a findings document.

Most eCommerce SEO engagements end at a report. The report is usually accurate. It then enters a development backlog, gets sized against the next feature and a holiday launch, and waits. Months later the crawl looks much the same, because the store moved and the document did not.

We work inside a business that has been building and maintaining production stores for over a decade, so the engineers who ship code every day are the ones rewriting your product templates, taming your faceted navigation and deploying your schema, directly in Shopify, WooCommerce or your own stack. Nothing is lost in a handoff, because there is no handoff between finding the problem and fixing it.

Where the work happens, and what it runs on.

Not every store needs every fix. The audit says which ones yours does before any work begins, and it is run inside your platform with the tools below.

We work inside each platform directly, on its own quirks, rather than applying one checklist across all of them.

Tooling

Not a performance claim, just the software behind the work, so you know what is running against your store. Findings from any of these are cross-checked against your own Search Console data before they reach the fix list.

Where SEO Problems Become Lost Revenue

Four SEO problems. Four ways they cost you sales and revenue.

  • Poor category architecture can still bring shoppers in, but if the structure doesn't guide them to the products they're actually looking for, they leave without buying, and the pages built to sell never do.
  • Duplicate product pages split the ranking signal one strong listing needed, so several near-identical pages compete for the same shoppers instead of one converting them, and the sales that page would have won are lost.
  • Index bloat from filtered variants and thin duplicate URLs makes it harder for your product and category pages to surface, so a price, stock or availability change can take longer to show, and shoppers see outdated information right up to the point of purchase.
  • Losing high-intent shoppers to competitors is not a missed click. A shopper ready to buy who finds a competitor's listing first is a real customer and a real sale gone to them, often at a lower cost than you'd pay to win that same shopper back with an ad.

Structured data

Two listings, same position, very different click-through.

Rank is only half the result. A listing with a price, a star rating and a clean breadcrumb takes up more of the page and reads as more trustworthy than a plain blue link beside it, and structured data is usually the difference. It is also what makes a product usable by AI shopping surfaces and answer engines.

01

Product schema

  • Price, availability and brand marked up so Google can show them in the result
  • Validated against Google's product requirements, not just JSON syntax
  • Kept accurate as inventory and pricing change, rather than set once

02

Review stars

  • Aggregate rating markup that surfaces star ratings under the listing
  • Ratings shown before a shopper even clicks, where they weigh on the decision
  • Eligibility monitored after deployment so stars do not quietly drop out

03

Breadcrumb schema

  • Clean breadcrumb trails in the result instead of a raw URL string
  • Category context that tells Google how the catalogue is organised
  • Consistent entity detail that answer engines can quote precisely

Schema is not a growth hack bolted on at the end. It is part of how a product page is built, so the store earns the click it already ranked for. A listing that shows price, stock and stars occupies more of the page and earns more of the clicks.

Our process

Audit, optimise, clean up, connect, track.

Five stages, run in that order. The order carries the work: rewriting product pages before the crawl is complete optimises the pages that were easiest to reach rather than the ones carrying the most revenue.

01

eCommerce SEO audit

A full crawl of the store, product pages and category structure the way Google sees them, cross-referenced against Search Console coverage, CrUX field data and your server logs. Logs are the part most audits skip, and the only source that shows which URLs Googlebot genuinely spends its budget on across a large catalogue.

02

Product & category optimisation

The top revenue-driving products and categories are rewritten first, with schema and internal links, then the long tail is handled through a stronger template so thousands of SKUs are not left on duplicate boilerplate. Each change is chosen for the organic revenue it can move.

03

Technical cleanup

Crawl budget, duplicate variants, faceted navigation and canonical issues resolved directly in Shopify, WooCommerce or your own stack, through your review process. Template-level problems are corrected at the template so they stay corrected as inventory grows.

04

Content & internal linking

Buying guides and comparison content built around the searches shoppers run before a product name, then linked straight into the category and product pages that convert, so authority flows toward the pages with commercial intent behind them.

05

Rank and revenue tracking

Rankings and organic revenue tracked together, not as separate reports. Each fix is recrawled and verified, and scheduled crawls with alerts on indexation, status codes and vitals surface any regression in days rather than at the next quarterly review.

Track record

Experience. Evolved.

The team behind Wegile DGTL has worked together for over a decade, running the complete marketing engine at its parent company, a software development company, and delivering campaigns for its clients before that. The results below were earned by this team across those years, on stores where the technical, content and revenue work were run as one.

eCommerce SEO questions

Straight answers. No sales fluff.

The questions founders, marketing managers and in-house teams ask before commissioning eCommerce SEO work, answered plainly and in full.

Product page optimisation, category and collection page structure, technical cleanup for crawl budget and duplicate variant URLs, product schema and rich results, internal linking that routes authority toward pages that sell, and content built around how people search before they buy.

The work is measured against organic revenue, not rankings in isolation. A ranking that does not move product or category sales is a leading indicator, not a result.

Stores generate far more URLs than a typical site. Every filter, sort order and product variant can spawn a crawlable URL, so crawl budget, faceted navigation and duplicate variants matter far more here than on a standard business website.

Product and category templates also change the economics of a fix: correct the template once and the same fix applies to thousands of pages at the same time.

On page work covers product titles, descriptions, schema and site structure, everything on the store itself. Off page work is the outside signal: backlinks, brand mentions and the trust cues that tell Google the store is worth ranking.

Both matter, but on page and technical work is where most stores have the largest untapped gains, because it improves pages they already own rather than waiting on links they do not.

Individually for the top revenue-driving products and categories, and with a stronger template structure for the long tail so thousands of SKUs are not left with duplicate boilerplate.

The template is corrected at the source, which means new products inherit the improvement automatically as the catalogue grows, instead of needing a manual pass each time.

Technical fixes and product page updates can show early movement within four to six weeks of a recrawl. Category-level ranking gains and the organic revenue that follows usually build over three to six months as authority redistributes and the corrected templates are reindexed.

Each fix is recrawled and verified rather than left for a ranking report to imply it worked.

Yes. Each platform has its own quirks around canonical tags, collection pages, pagination and app-generated URL bloat, and we work inside each one directly rather than applying a generic checklist.

Headless and custom builds are supported as well, since the fixes ship through the same codebase and CMS access our engineers use every day.

One last thing

The store audit costs nothing, and the fix list is yours either way.

A full crawl of your store, the findings that matter ranked against the ones that do not, and an honest view of how much of your organic revenue is sitting behind product pages, category structure and crawl budget. Implement it with us, hand it to your own developers, or keep it on file. The document is yours regardless.
